Mapping Open Data with QGIS

Ryan Yeung, director of performance evaluation and analytics at the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) will demonstrate how to create attractive and informative maps using NYC Open Datasets and QGIS, a free and open-source geographic information system (GIS) program. You will also have the opportunity to create a map of your own using a dataset from NYC Open Data.

Participants with little to no training in GIS are encouraged to attend, though everyone should have QGIS installed before this session!
